Wellness Coaching

A “well person” is aware and responsive to the needs of their body, mind and spirit.

  • NOURISHMENT: how do you feed and sustain your body? what foods do you like & dislike? How do different foods make you feel? what does your healthy body look like? 
  • ACTIVITY:  how active are you? how do you exercise the machine that is your body? how do you keep stimulated and engaged in life?
  • REST:  how do you describe your stress level? What resources do you use to de-stress? What is your desire for R&R?

 

Likewise, we can apply a wellness outlook to the MIND:

 

A healthy MIND is supported by such things as -

  • a balanced diet of quality food

  • regular exercise

  • sound sleep

  • staying in the flow of family, friends and social connections

  • learning new things

  • registering positive self-esteem

  • developing clarity in problem-solving and decision-making

How do you keep your mind supple and vital? How do you process information, approach hurdles and expand your experience?

And, finally, the wellness model asks us to reflect on the healthy SPIRIT by asking questions such as -

  • what purpose does your life hold?

  • which values do you hold dear?

  • do your life choices harmonize with your beliefs?
